Procedural versus declarative knowledge
WebbDeclarative memories, also called explicit memories, are the pieces of information that can be consciously declared or stated explicitly. Declarative memories are thought of as a “knowing what”. Declarative memories can be further subdivided into semantic memory and episodic memory. Semantic memories are pieces of factual information.
