Generally, most have an angle cut between 5 degrees & 18 degrees. That is dependent on the manufacturer. In Ruger's case, many are cut to 5 degrees, so the angle is small & shallow. If there was a major problem with the GP in 44 Sp thinking you would have hear about it here.
